Spring Song Sympathy Card

Spring Song stamp set

I ran downstairs this evening to whip up a quick card.  Sometimes when I don’t give myself a whole lot of time to come up with a card I find it comes easier than when I have a long time.  (Unfortunately that’s not always the case but sometimes!)

Sympathy card for class

I seldom use the color of Sage Shadow but tonight as I made this card I decided it was a good time to pick up this colors and use some of the cardstock and ribbon I have lying around.  (Sage Shadow is one of the colors that is retiring in June.)  To my pleasure I found Sage Shadow works nicely together with Chocolate Chip.

This little birdy is from the  Spring Song stamp set.  I remember when this stamp set first came out, I thought my mother-in-law would love it.  You know what she said though?  She said she didn’t like the fact that it had to be colored.  Well, I’m happy to present a card where it doesn’t need colored!  The bird and the sentiment (from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set) are both stamped on Sahara Sand cardstock.

We are going to make this card at the Sympathy/Get Well card class on Monday evening at the Mason-Dixon Library in Stewartstown, PA.

  1. I am sure that the ladies in your class are going to love this card. I just love this color combination and the stamped image really pops because of the embossed background. Great card!!!

  2. I love those two colors together! I better make some Sage Shadow/Chocolate Chip cards before time is up. 🙂
