Stampin' Up! Circle Scissor Plus

Circle Scissor PlusI had a chance to sit down briefly with my new Circle Scissor Plus this morning and try it out.  Wow!  Very exciting!  I don’t see myself using a coluzzle anymore!  I’m going to put some pictures on here so you can get an idea of what it can do.  Hopefully I will do a video presentation soon so you can see how it works.  I just have to find a time when my husband and I can video tape it without the kids running around yelling in the background!

largest and smallest cutThe Circle Scissor Plus makes circles anywhere from 1 to 6 inches in diameter.  When I say “anywhere between”, I mean that, there aren’t “tracks” on it like the coluzzle.   The picture with the Tangerine Tango circles shows the largest it will make beside the smallest.

Unlike the Coluzzle, this cutter cuts the entire way around the circle leaving no ends attached to the original sheet of paper.  You simply press on the blade and turn it to get the circle.

circles from the circle scissor plusI think one of my favorite parts about it is that you can do circles with the middle missing and you can make them as wide or narrow as you like.  I can see some neat Scrapbook pages coming with this!

Because the center of the cutter is made of clear plastic it is easy to see through the cutter to ensure where you are going to be cutting.  It is important though that you use a glass mat beneath the cutter to preserve your tabletop and the Stampin' Up!s new circle cutterblade of the cutter.  The glass mat we carry is 13″x13″ and does have protective feet on the bottom.

To be quite honest, I have never done a whole lot with circles before because it was never easy.  Trying to find something the right size to trace or using the coluzzle and then having to take care of those little places that were attached was more of a pain that I cared to deal with.  I think the Circle Scissor Plus is going to change that for me!  You hold me to that and keep an eye on this blog to make sure I’m using it would you?  I’m a strong believer in putting to use the things I have spent money to buy.

Don’t forget, today is the last day for the taffeta ribbon assortment.  I have been asked by several to do this again with some of the other types of ribbon.  I most certainly will.  Stay tuned in a week or so when I’ll list the details for another ribbon assortment share.
