I hope you have had a wonderful Easter with family and friends!
Here is another look at the project from yesterday. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I made this from the Stampin’ Up! narrow grosgrain ribbon spools. I simply took out the plastic middles and then covered the cardboard circles with cardstock (Green Galore and Pacific Point) on both sides. I found it was very easy to use the Circle Scissor Plus to cut circles the same size instead of pasting on the cardstock and then cutting by hand. Some people like to purchase chipboard coasters to do this same sort of work, however, I was trying to recycle what I already had on hand.
One of my upline members, Jan, just sent me the Horray Designer Hardware as a prize and it matched perfectly with the colors I chose. You can see those hardware pieces on the T and N circles. The other circles have Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. The stamp sets I used include Prehistoric Pals and Zoofari. The letters and the brown bird were all cut with the Big Shot.
Lastly, I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch holes through the circles and tied them together with Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.
I hope this has been an inspiration to you. It’s always fun to find things to stamp for decoration in the house.
