Stamping Challenge with a Sketch

Sketch Challenge

I’m a little late with my Stamp-A-Holic challenge again.  Sorry!  This week has been absolutely crazy but I finally had a chance to sit down and do some stamping.  I had this sketch to work with and I decided to use it on a journal.  Since that’s a 3-D item, I have 30 minutes to work.

Time to start!

I have my idea and I’m ready to go!

Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

I grabbed up a piece of Whisper White cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder twice (this sheet of paper is 5 3/4″ x 8″ in size).  Then I used the Spiral Border Punch on one side.

Concord Crush ribbon

The next step was to grab up some Whisper White taffeta ribbon and my Concord Grape Stampin’ Write Marker.  After a little coloring I had my own Concord Grape taffeta ribbon, a whole bunch of it!

Becuase I Care stamp set

The Because I Care stamp set along with Concord Grape, Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke work wonderfully together!

Stampin' Up! On Board Art Journal

Next I grabbed up a Stampin’ up! On Board Art Journal and some Tombo Multi Adhesive ready to do some serious adhering to the front of that journal!

Done!

It looks like I’m half a minute over my time.  Think that will be okay??  Do you want to see the finished journal?

Art journal - decorated!

Here it is!  My journal.  Now, to be totally honest, I don’t journal.  However, I’ve been challenged to try journaling about my stamping and what I try with my business and how it works. It should be interesting.

Because I Care Journal

Here’s the front view. I like the texture, the colors and all the ribbon!   What do you think?  It should be interesting to see if I keep up with writing in it now!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you’ve enjoyed this project!

Hi Becky,
Great journal. I am also in the group and I am starting on my journaling tonight finally. I have had a busy week. I am looking forward to all the support we are getting here and going through the book with others. Best of luck.

Oh, my! This is so elegant…I love it. The texture, colors and image all work together so well. This ought to make you pick up the journal and write something. Good luck!

Wow, what a beautiful journal! I am just like you, I am not into journaling, but WOW this is simply beautiful!
My daughter is all grown up, but women could use it to write down special memories of their children growing up. Or about their own dreams, trips, etc. It’s too pretty for grocery lists, but how about a bucket list. :)
Love, love, love your journal!
Stampin’ Smiles from Ear to Ear,
Ann :)
