StampThat Studio Additions

StampThat Studio Additions

As some of you know, I spent a good deal of last week and some of this week painting the StampThat Studio!  It’s a big room to tackle!

Naturally as I go along, I’m making a few changes and additions.  I thought perhaps you would like to see some of them. They’re not huge changes, but little things.

Powder Pals

This one might seem a little funny but I’m excited about it!  I wanted to use some hooks to hang my Stampin’ Up! Powder Pals but they’re not really all that pretty.  So, my little brain got to thinking . . . and I came up with this idea.  I used the retired Tulipe Big Shot Die (available on the Clearance Rack!) to cut the Chalkboard Decor Elements I have and placed them on the backside of the Powder Pals so they can be seen when hanging!  Now it’s fun to see my Powder Pals hanging up on the wall!

Create Decor Elements

Before painting, I had the definition of “create” up on the wall from our Decor Elements selection.  Naturally, it had to come down.  Knowing I would be painting eventually, I had bought another, smaller, set when it was on sale in November.  This time I decided to put it on a mirror!  Now I won’t have to get rid of it when I paint next (not that I plan to do so for many years!!!)

I love ribbon!  I can’t tell you how excited I am about these new ribbon holders!  When I went away for my stamping trip in December I arrived at my upline’s home to find everyone ordering these ribbon holders that were on a special Christmas sale.  Being the frugal person that I am, I resisted buying them right then, but sent an email to my hubby suggesting them as a Christmas present.  He took me up on it!  Don’t you just love that splash of color?!

There are some other little changes that are gradually happening in the studio as I finish putting it back together.  I may share them another day.  In the meantime, I hope you will make your plans to attend a class here soon so you can see them for yourself!

Thank you for stopping by today!

  1. Some great ideas, Becky! I especially like the powder pals as art 🙂 and the ribbon is awesome! Love the colors right at your fingertips when you need them. Your hubby did good on that gift! 🙂

  2. Will be there on Tuesday to see everything! Love the ideas. Can we buy the ribbon holders? Wonder how dusty the ribbon will get hanging on the wall rather than in a box?

  3. Would love to know more about the ribbon racks. Where did you get them? What are they called? Ribbon seems to be a hard supply to organize. Right now I have my ribbon on a pants hanger, but if a roll in the middle runs out, you have to take all the rolls off to change it out.

  4. Beautiful touches – wonderful ideas – I knew it!!! I need to have you come and re-do my stamping space! 🙂

  5. oooo….I love your ribbon holders! I have one….still in the box in my garage…awaiting my stamping room re-do. Can’t wait to get it put up. I may have to order another one.

  6. Love all your changes! I’ll have to check out the ribbon holders at our next meeting. Its kind of hard to figure them out from the picture.

You could decorate the outside of your mirror frame to make it even cuter. Some paper (or fabric) flowers glued to some of the corners would really add alot. 🙂 Thanks for inspiring us!
