Star Boxes for a Centerpiece

Centerpiece idea underway

I’m excited to share these fun star shaped boxes with you!  don’t you think these would make a wonderful centerpiece of a Memorial Day or July 4 picnic?  I don’t have the full centerpiece look complete yet but it’s a start!    Maybe some sparklers pocking out of the boxes, a little star shaped confetti on the table . . .   What do you think?

Of course you don’t have to use these boxes for a centerpiece.  I can see these as great favors as well!  What about making the boxes out of Bashful Blue for a baby boy shower or out of Gold and Cherry Cobbler for Christmas?  Primary colors would make a great children’s birthday and the list goes on and on!

Don’t like centerpieces or favors, then what about a cute way to give a gift of money or a gift card?  You could easily attach a ribbon handle to the top for a fun gift bag!  Or, you could fill it with goldfish or other little yummy treat when you need a special treat for a special little guy.

There are just so many options with these boxes!  I’m sure I could go on and on with the ideas!  If you have an idea, how about posting it for all of us to see?  I always love to get your comments!

Those attending the Boxes & Bags IV class are going to learn how to make these cute star shaped boxes.  We will make one star and they’re really not hard to duplicate once you get home if you want more!

  1. Since you mentioned Memorial Day or July 4th, depending upon the size of these, it would be fun to use them to hold plastic silverware and napkins for a picnic. You could weight them down with those decorative glass pebbles that you can get at craft stores (in case the picnic is windy). These are fantastic! 🙂

  2. These are so cute, Becky! I love the red, white, and blue colors!!!

  3. Great project. Wonderful ideas for their use. Love them.

  4. Like!

  5. I love these, Becky! The colors make me think of summer and fireworks and picnics…and fun!

  6. I love these star boxes. They are so pretty. Can you tell me how to make them. I am in Colorado and can’t attend your class. I am a Stampin Up demonstrator and would love to know how to make them. Thanks and God bless you. They are great.

  7. Beautiful! I was wondering if you have a template you used for the box.

  8. doggone it, you need to come to the Pacific NW. I love the star centerpieces….. Will you be doing these via the mail? Very very cute and I’m jealous of those who are in your area….lol….

  10. Wow, these are great. I was wondering if you have a template you could share. I am just getting started as a demonstrator and am always looking for something unique. These sure are that.

  11. I’m so jealous I’m not nearby so I can attend one of your classes – these are so cute, and perfect for a 4th of July picnic! If you decide to share the instructions after your classes are over, I would be grateful!

Oh Becky…these are absolutely fabulous! We go to friends every 4th of July and every year I try to take something fun and different and these would be such a great surprise to our hostess/host! Since I am in CA, I also cannot attend your class so am hoping that you will share your recipe after your class…please!!????!!! TFS!
