Starting on Christmas Presents

by Becky Jensen on June 24, 2009

Handmade Stationary BoxYes, you read that right, Christmas Presents!  I’ve already started working on Christmas presents.  Are you impressed?    I’d bet you’d be more impressed if it was actually a present I was giving!  I’d be very impressed then too!

No, I was commissioned to make this gift and I don’t think my Christmas Cardinal Stamp Setfriend will mind if I share it.  The cardinal stamp you see is the retired Christmas Cardinal stamp set.  Inside the stationary box I also used the Warm Words stamp set and Echoes of Kindness stamp set(a retiring hostess set.)

You know, while we’re on the topic of Christmas presents, if you get started on making them, and your Christmas cards, now it won’t be nearly so stressful this fall and during the holidays!  Hmmm.  Now if I’d just listen to my own advise!!

Oh my word, that is the neatest thing! I adore the colors and the cardinal! (wish that wasn’t retired!). How in the world do you make that box! I love it!

Thanks Laura! I’m going to have a class on making these probably in September, stay tuned for details!!

Sign me up for the making of the boxes.
What a great gift idea.
I usually pick a theme every year, and everyone gets variations on that theme. I know everyone would love a sturdy stationary box in their own favorite color/theme this year.
Please let me know approximate cost per box, so I can have the funds for the project(s).
Love your stuff!

Very cool! I know I should be doing it now, but I don’t have time!

would you share the directions for the cardinal project? I have that set and I would like to make one for my twin sister as I have that set and it was my our mom’s favorite bird. She died a few years ago from cancer.

I also would like the directions for the lunch bag project for VBS at church.

I LOVE the cardinal set and really want to make a set for my elderly aunt as a usable Christmas gift. I would love directions and/or class information.
