The Dahlia Fold on a Card

by Becky Jensen on April 4, 2009

Dahlia Fold CardEveryone always seems to like the Dahlia Fold.  It’s very eye catching and intricate, and yet it is not hard to make.  I have done the dahlia fold several times before but always on scrapbook pages, this time, I wanted to try a card.

I must admit that I have a hard time putting large images (be it stamped or otherwise) onto cards sometimes.  They take up a lot of the card but yet not all of the card . . . so what do I do with the rest of the card?

For this card I used the swirly stamp from the To Have and to Hold stamp set to stamp the background.  Inside the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware is “Friend” from the A Little Somethin’ stamp set.  A little Chocolate Chip narrow grosgrain ribbon, and a flower from the Trio Flower punch and there you go.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Don’t forget to fit a little stamping time in there somewhere!

Because I am new to stamping – my new stamps – when using the stampin up craft ink, how do I clean my stamps? Do I need to clean the ink off of the stamps each time I use them? Or is it okay to let it dry and reuse the stamp at a later date.

Thanks for the help!
