Thinking of You Class Postponed

by Becky Jensen on February 9, 2010

Unfortunately the Thinking of You/Valentine Card class that was scheduled for last evening had to be postponed until this coming Friday night (February 12.)  The library closed early last evening making it impossible to have our class.  I know some of you were not able to attend the class today because of scheduling conflicts.  If you find your schedule is open for Friday night please contact me by Thursday morning to join us.

Here is another of the cards we’ll be making at our Thinking of You/Valentine class.  For those who do not wish to use this as a Valentine card, I will have a Thinking Of You stamp available to stamp in the middle.  Doesn’t this card remind you of Victoria Secret?  I guess it’s the color combination of Basic Black, Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla.

Handmade Valentine Card

I combined some things I really like on this card.  I like our new Scallop Trim Border Punch and I always enjoy embossing black on black cardstock, it gives a look of velvet (at least in my opinion.)  Of course Pretty in Pink with black is always lovely too!  All of those things together make for a simple and yet elegant looking card.

Thank you for stopping by my website today!  As we look for more snow this evening I’ll be here prepping for Technique Club on Thursday, Card class on Friday, a Stampin’ Up! party on Saturday and Scrap Club on Monday!  Oh and of course I need to make a million swaps and valentines too (at least that’s what it feels like anyway.)  Anyone want to come and join me?  I could put you to work!

Very pretty card. I wouldn’t have thought of using black.

I love this card. My son Kyle loves it too and we are going to make it for his girlfriend for Valentines.

Missed it again! Did someone make cards for me? I’ll pick them up on Thursday when I come for the Technique class.
