This & That in San Diego

This & That in San Diego

So by now, most of you know that my husband and I went to San Diego with Stampin’ Up! recently, compliments of Stampin’ Up!  What you may not know . . . is that we had a little stowaway with us . . . Flat Stanley!  Micah, my oldest, and his fourth grade class are studying their way across the United States this school year.  One of their projects was to make Flat Stanley and ask someone to have an adventure with him.

This & That Journal

What better than going on a free trip to San Diego?!  And what better way to record the trip than with our This & That Journal!  I’m so glad I thought about using the journal.

Stampin' Up! Journal

The This & That Journal, along with the various accessories, is the perfect way to record an event, but keep it quick and easy!  After all, we just came back and had to get the pictures printed and put the journal together . . . it’s gotta be fast.

Stampin' Up!

The Washi Tape is great for holding in the pictures and memorabilia while the stickers add some fun.  I did some quick journaling but the whole effect of the This & That Journal lends itself towards being fun, not necessarily needing full sentences, quick thoughts and comments do the job.

Scrapbooking journal

This is the project I mentioned the other day, wishing I could get the new Photopolymer stamp sets in time.  (Well, I could have, but couldn’t justify the expedited shipping costs…)    They would be perfect for the book . . . . but I need to get this to Micah’s class . . . on Monday . . .

Flat Stanely trip scrapbook

I hope you’ve enjoyed the little peek at Flat Stanley’s book.  We filled a good amount of the book with lots of pictures and a few other items gathered along the way.

I’m going to have to stock up on a few more of these This & That Journals!  They are perfect for projects like this for school!

  1. I love “This & That in San Diego”, especially the way you arranged the photos of “Flat Stanley”, he looks like our neighbor that works in a very hot warehouse for 12 hours a night. I guess I can call him “Flat Stanley” now!! LOL Thanks for sharing your adventures in San Diego with Flat Stanley, I enjoyed it!! Have a nice day.
