Timed Stamping Challenge

Color Challenge

Today for the timed challenge we have a color challenge.  The team has changed the amount of time for cards to 15 minutes instead of 10 like it used to be.  In reality though, as I sat down to make this card I knew I only had 10 minutes in my day to get it done, just too busy I guess!

Ready to go!

The challenge was to use Poppy Parade, however, the only thing I have in Poppy Parade is the Stampin’ Write marker.  Sorry, my imagination isn’t quite that good!  I decided to change it to Cherry Cobbler (surprised?) along with the Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.  Let’s see what I can do!

Peaceful Season stamp set

The first order of business was to stamp Season’s Greetings from the Peaceful Season stamp set and then run to the paper cutter with my different colors of cardstock.  (I don’t even want to know what the man outside the sliding glass door thought as I ran around to make this card.  He was out there power washing the back stoop.  He probably thought I was a crazy woman!

Peaceful Season holly stamp

Next, I grabbed my piece of Cherry Cobbler and stamped the holly from the Peaceful Season set in Early Espresso.  Running across the room again (hoping he’s not looking) I grabbed my Early Espresso sponge for the edge of the cardstock.

A little adhesive and some pearls and the card is . . .

Done!

Done!  Whew!  I made it in 10 minutes!

Peaceful Season Handmade Card

Here we go!  As usual, it’s better in real life but you can get the idea.  It’s a nice simple card with a quiet elegance.

Hand stamped card

Here’s a close up.  It’s hard to tell but there is a layer of Early Espresso under the Very Vanilla greetings and under the Cherry Cobbler layer.

Do you enjoy seeing what can be made in a short amount of time?  The Stamp-A-Holics design team has started a blog to show all of our creations!  Hop on over and see what all the ladies did with this color challenge.  There is such a wide variety of ideas!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I would love to read your comments if you have a minute to leave one!
