I guess you could say I’ve been on a bit of a Scrap using kick lately. I thought I would share some more card ideas with you using scraps. I saw someone else make a card using scraps of cardstock in this fashion so I took the idea and went with it. If you’re like me, I’m sure you have tons of strips of Cardstock lying around. Here’s what you can do with them!
This particular card is made with Very Vanilla cardstock and strips of Always Artichoke, So Saffron and Basic Black. I used So Saffron Ink to stamp the flower from the Thanks for Caring stamp set on the So Saffron cardstock and Basic Black ink to stamp the sentiment.
Here’s the same design, this time I added a little scrap of DSP. The bee is from the Botanical Gazette DSP in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I just cut it out and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Do you have any scraps of DSP with flower or bugs on them? Cut them out and use them as a fun new accent on your cards!
This time I decided to use left over pieces of Designer Paper from the Hostess Level 1 In-Color paper pack. I added a little 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and a sentiment from the Something to Celebrate stamp set and Whisper White cardstock. Same card design . . . more scraps used!
I am so not a fan of bright colors! I can’t say as I like this card but I decided to go ahead and share it with you, someone out there might like it. I used scraps of retired cardstock and stamped them with the Button Button stamp set, added the sentiment from Thank You Kindly and a Whisper White button from the Neutrals collection.
So, can you find a few scraps of cardstock to use on a card today?
