Vintage Military Scrapbook Page

Military Scrapbook Page

I needed to make one more project for the Red, White and Blue challenge I mentioned the other day.  Here it is!    This is my grandfather.  This is my favorite picture from when he was in the military and I wanted it to have an exclusive page in the scrapbook (I just love being able to make my own decisions like that!)

Now I will be honest, this is a rather heavy scrapbook page.  I used a few more layers than normal but I wanted it to look just right.  Would you believe there are 9 layers on here?  Yikes!  Fill a scrapbook with pages like this and it would weigh a ton!

Thank you for stopping by to visit!

Becky, this is a wonderful page, 9 layers and all! I guess it’s the military wife in me: U.S. military uniforms and red white and blue are exciting and make me want to march and salute and sing the Army song – or at least listen to Sousa! :)

I too love to highlight one picture on a page, especially one as precious as a grandparent. I was wondering what you used to create the design on the solid red layer. Is is a die cut or is it a stamp? Thank you so much for sharing your talent and ideas (sure makes my life easier!).
