Vintage Vogue & Whimsical Words Thank You Card

by Becky Jensen on January 8, 2010

I just love this card!  The colors are beautiful and the simplicity of the design gives it elegance.  Unfortunately I cannot take credit for this design, another amazing stamper shared their card and I did my own version of it which is what you see pictured here.

To make this card I used the Vintage Vogue and Whimsical Words stamp sets in Old Olive ink.  The butterflies were cut using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die and Cottage Walls DSP.  I used a 2-way glue pen and some Dazzling Diamonds to add a little bling to the butterflies.

I was running extremely low on Rich Razzleberry ribbon so I ended up trying something a little different with the bow and I love it!  First I strung a piece of ribbon across the card.  After that, I made a loop with the little tiny bit of ribbon that I had left and then I wrapped a flower brad around the middle of the loop to create a bow.

So, what do you think?  I hope you’ll consider joining my card classes at the Mason-Dixon Library in the coming months.  You can see my schedule of upcoming Stampin’ Up! events by following the link.

Becky, I just love this card. The colors are so pretty
together. And the design is wonderful. Isn’t it amazing
how you can take a little bit of something like the ribbon
and create a blessing for someone else. You are soooo
talented!! Thanks for sharing.

Again your use of color to express feeling is spot on. This card can be used for any occasion. I would even use it for sympathy because it ’s colors are so hope inspiring.
