Visiting a couple cards from the past

Baroque Motifs cardI thought I’d revisit a couple cards I’ve made in the past that you might like to see.  Believe it or not, I actually made this as a wedding card.  Personally, I like making black and white cards with a splash of gray or silver in them sometimes.  This one is one of my favorites!

Items used for this criss cross card include Basic Black, Brushed Silver and Whisper White cardstock, Baroque Motifs stamp set,  Warm Words stamp set (retired), Basic Black narrow grosgrain ribbon, pretties kit, tab punch, corner rounder punch, and silver embossing.  This card takes a little while but is so worth it!  I know I personally would love to receive a card like this!

anniversary card ideaAs I posted this picture I realized the stamps used on this card are all retired, but perhaps it will inspire some creativity anyway.  I’ve always liked this card.  I actually made this for a hostess who wanted a 50th anniversary party invitation.  What do you think?  She and her sister liked it and duplicated it, with a few changes, about 200 times.

The stamps you see used here are French Flair background stamp, embossed in white on vellum, and Carte Postale embossed in gold.  Other items used include Brushed Gold cardstock, gold brads, Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon and Whisper White cardstock.
