Beauty of Friendship Stamp of the Month Card

Beauty of Friendship Stamp of the Month Card

We had a great time creating with the Beauty of Friendship stamp set last month in our Stamp of the Month class.  Someone commented in class that this is the new stamp set to replace Lovely as a Tree.  Do you remember that set?  I’m pretty sure Lovely as a Tree wins the prize for being available in the catalog for the most years.  I remember working hard at a certain goal to try to earn that stamp set for free in a special incentive during my early days as a demonstrator (and yes, I did get it for free).

In our Stamp of the Month classes my goal is to provide card ideas that exclusively use that particular stamp set.  Sometimes that’s easier than other times!  While creating with this set, I did start to wish it included a “Merry Christmas” sentiment.  There’s a great Christmas tree in there!

Here is one of the cards we made.  This is the card that I think would be a lovely Christmas card (In fact, I am probably going to change the sentiment on my card to say “Merry Christmas” – isn’t that the beauty of having all these stamps and supplies?!)Continue reading

A Joyful Christmas to You & Yours

A Joyful Christmas to You & Yours

The Coloring Class is always a fun one.  We purposefully get to slow down and take the time to color and use different methods of coloring.

I specifically wanted to make sure we pulled out the new assortment of Soft Pastels which are available in the Annual Catalog.  It’s really easy to miss these, or to look at them and yet not know what to do with them.

We matched the pastels up with the Christmas Season stamp set and the Merriest Moments stamp set to create this lovely card.Continue reading

First 2021 Christmas Card

First 2021 Christmas Card

I made my first Christmas card of the season.  There are many more to come of course, but I thought you might like to see the first.  I made this one to showcase a new background technique I was teaching in the Tech Club that meets at my church in Baldwin, MD .

Along with the fun background, I used the Christmas Pinecone Dies which can be found on page 19 of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.Continue reading

In the Pines Silver & White

In the Pines Silver & White

The In the Pines set is a great one for this time of year.  You can make lovely Christmas cards with the set, but it will work well for cards all winter long.  Pine trees are such a great wintry stamp!

For this card we used silver embossing powder along with the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper which appears to be sold out now.  Silver and Whisper White are so striking together!Continue reading

Plaid Tidings Gift Card Holder

Plaid Tidings Gift Card Holder

Do you like the Plaid Tidings DSP as much as I do?  We have gone through almost 3 full packs here at the StampThat Studio.  It’s so pretty!  I may need to snag one more pack before it’s gone!  I wish I could purchase a whole pack of just the black and white pattern.

I know you probably think we haven’t been doing any creating around here lately since I have been terrible about posting.  No, really, we have been creating!

Check out this cute Plaid Tidings gift card holder we are making in class!Continue reading
