Wintry 3D Embossing Folder

Wintry 3D Embossing Folder

Yesterday I shared a Christmas stamp set from the Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog to make sure you haven’t missed it.  Today I want to point out the Wintry 3D embossing folders it the catalog.  Have you seen them?  Check out page 155.

Wintry 3D embossing folders

This is a set of two embossing folders and they are both great!  These are such wonderful background images for Christmas cards!  You do want to note that they embossing folders are only 6 1/4″ x 3 3/8″ in size, but there is still so much you can do with them.

Check out this card which we made in the Christmas Cards II class.

Our first two classes have been well attended and much enjoyed!

Christmas Trimmings Handmade Card

Christmas Trimmings Handmade Card

With the Holiday Catalog it is easy to overlook the Christmas items we have in the Annual Catalog!  Have you checked them out?  For our first Christmas Card Class we pulled out the Christmas Trimmings dies which are in the Annual Catalog.  I think I purchased this set mainly because of the star.  (Am I the only one that does that?  Purchase a set primarily because of one image?)

The star reminds me of string art which we’ve done a lot of in this house.

Here’s the card we made in class.

Joy Christmas Card in Traditional Colors

Joy Christmas Card in Traditional Colors

I’m finding myself leaning more toward traditional Christmas colors for our cards this year.  Each year tends to be a little different.  Sometimes I think it varies based on the designer paper Stampin’ Up releases.  I’m really enjoying the Tidings of Christmas DSP this year.  It’s very classy!

This is a fun tower card I made to spotlight a technique I was sharing in my Tech Club last month.  See what you think.Continue reading

I really like the script of the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set, don’t you?  I also like the fact that the set works well for multiple occasions.  Of course right now I’m mainly focused on Christmas cards, but I did use the set several times for fall cards as well.

Check out this lovely Christmas Card!Continue reading

Snowflake Wishes & Blends Fun

Snowflake Wishes & Blends Fun

We’ve been playing with Blends markers and rubbing alcohol to make some fun backgrounds for a few cards lately in a couple of our more detailed card making classes.

For our coloring class we got to work on a fun background for a snowflake card.  Overall it’s a pretty simple card to make, it just takes some time for drying.Continue reading
