Decorating for Spring with Stampin’ Up!

Decorating for Spring with Stampin’ Up!

As promised, I’m going to share another way I’ve been thinking outside the box with Stampin’ Up! lately.

I purchased some new furniture for the entryway of our house at the end of last summer, and I have been enjoying decorating it with each new season!  I’m going a little more simple for spring. I’ll just share pictures of the one area, but be assured there is a handmade wreath, flower arrangement, and spring sampler on display as well (all of which have been pictured on here before).Continue reading

I’m ready to share the Spring Decor with you now!  I’m still not positive if I am totally done with mine or not, but I can at least show it to you!

This summer I have plans to repaint the StampThat Studio (would love to do it sooner, but reality . . . ).  Therefore, I have geared my decor to be displayed in the “new” studio!Continue reading

Happy Valentines Day 2014!

Happy Valentines Day 2014!

Today seems like an appropriate day for some roses!  I’ve spent quite a few hours over the last two days working on a project for my house, to be more specific, a project for in my bedroom.  You see, on Wednesday I was the crazy person who went to Walmart to buy ModPodge, amidst the crowds of people there to buy toilet paper, bread and milk before the big storm . . . . (too bad I forgot the ModPodge when I was at Walmart on Tuesday amidst the early crowds of people there to buy toilet paper, bread and milk . . .)

Anyway, while I was there, I noticed they had some other items marked on clearance, items I’d been looking at and debating . . . .  Well, I figured if they were on clearance I’d better get them before they sold out, right?!  Yeah.  Naturally that meant when I got home with them, that’s all I wanted to work on, instead of Scrap Club layouts and Tech Club prep (which was snowed out anyway!)  So, I figured I’d get to work and get it done so later I could get to what I was supposed to be doing.

I pulled out my stash of retired Bravo Burgundy card stock (it’s a good thing I had a stock pile of it!) and got to work.  Approximately 47 handmade roses later (that would be approximately 517 individual petals to punch and sponge and glue into roses) . . . Continue reading

Punch Art Bird Valentine

Punch Art Bird Valentine

I’ve shared the valentines my oldest son made with the Whole Lot of Love Monster Valentines and his Rainbow Loom and the Penguin Valentines my youngest son made.  Today I want to share what my middle son chose to make!

Once again, I pulled out my Punch Pals book and allowed him to choose a punch pal to create for his valentines.  Now I knew my middle guy wasn’t going to going to go for any pink or red, that’s not him.  In fact, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get him to use anything “valentine” with his card but he surprised me.Continue reading
