As promised, I’m going to share another way I’ve been thinking outside the box with Stampin’ Up! lately.
I purchased some new furniture for the entryway of our house at the end of last summer, and I have been enjoying decorating it with each new season! I’m going a little more simple for spring. I’ll just share pictures of the one area, but be assured there is a handmade wreath, flower arrangement, and spring sampler on display as well (all of which have been pictured on here before).
That flower topiary has been a long time in the making! I started on it years ago and each spring I pull it out and work on it a little more. This year was the one to actually finish it! Finally! It matches the wreath and other flower arrangement I have around (you can see the wreath in the mirror).
Do you see the little “balls”? They are made from our Stampin’ Up! Baker’s Twine! I wanted a little something more so I pulled out Elmer’s Glue (mixed with some water), some balloons, and our Baker’s Twine. After soaking the twine in the glue mixture I simply wrapped it around an inflated balloon and then set it aside to dry. Once fully dried, I popped the balloon and gently removed it.
The ‘balls” are not incredibly sturdy, but as long as people aren’t rough with them, they should hold up through the season.
I hope you have enjoyed this little peak into my home. When you come by to attend class you’ll be able to see the rest. I hope to see you soon!
Thank you for sharing the “Decorating for Spring with Stampin’ Up!” I can only imagine what your hope looks like. You can make such beautiful things to decorate with, that it’s hard to tell it from the real thing unless you touch it. Keep the beautiful TLC creations coming and I will keep on appreciating all of them. Have a great day. ( :
