Fall Leaf Wreath Class
My middle son says our fall wreath is “really pretty”. I would have to agree! I love the way it turned out! I already have mine decorating the inside of the main door of our house and I’ve started making a second.
Would you like to see it?!Continue reading
To Do Stampin' Up! Decor
I’ve been doing some more work on my special decor project. I put this chalkboard To Do Decor Element onto a magnetic whiteboard. Makes it kind of multipurpose don’t you think?
The whiteboard came with some ugly magnets that really didn’t match the overall effect. I used the Scallop Circle #2 Big Shot die to cut some of the Timeless Portrait Fabric into small scallop circles. I wrapped the fabric around the ugly magnets and then used a small little rubberband (meant for hair) to hold the fabric in place. Don’t you love these new little magnets? I can’t wait to show you the finished display . . . when it’s done.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Chalkboard Organization – Decor Elements
This is a little sneak peek at a project I’m working on. It’s liable to take me a little while before I’m able to get back to it and get it finished but I thought I’d give you this little peek. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but as with everything it takes time to get to those little “extra” projects.
These are some of the Chalkboard Decor Elements with white vinyl overlays. You can find them in the back of the Idea Book & Catalog on page 230. As I look there myself while typing this, it looks like the Top Note shape blackboard retired with the last catalog but the To Do list overlay and other items are still available.
Thank you for stopping by today! I look forward to sharing the finished project with you when I’m able to complete it!
Established Decor Elements Projects
Last night we had fun at the Established class. Nobody wanted to show their face for the pictures I took of their lovely projects. . . I just love this tray! Why didn’t I think of a tray? It’s so fun!
The creator of this frame (can you guess who?) decided to go a step farther with hers and she added three words from the Inspiration Decor Elements. What a fun idea!
You ladies are so creative! Thank you for sharing your creativity with all of us! I will post mine at a later date, once it’s actually hung on the wall.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Stampin' Up! Styled Bathroom
I didn’t do a very good job of posting on the blog while away for the wedding this weekend did I? You know what I found? When I go off to another state and forget to take pictures of my stamping projects before leaving . . . . it’s awfully hard to share them you! That, along with an incredibly busy weekend . . .
You’ll be happy to know I did get right to work within a couple hours of arriving home though. The Decor Elements arrived while I was gone and I wanted to get that bathroom finished! Are you ready to see it?
I added the Flutter Decor Elements from Stampin’ Up! to the wall! Aren’t they pretty? The white vinyl stands out so beautifully against the blue walls and works so beautifully with the framed butterflies I shared last week!
Here they are together.
And of course we can’t forget the clear Flourishes Decor Elements I already had up on the mirror, those are still there and they blend in with the look wonderfully! The additions of some flowers, new hardware, new hand towels and curtains at a 90% discount complete the look.
I’m happy to say this half-bath is now finished! I hope you will stop by to visit StampThat soon! In the meantime, on to the next room . . . and some stamping!
I Spy – Stampin' Up! Style
One of the things we like to do in our house is playing I Spy! We love to look for hidden items, especially when there is a timer ticking down!
Some of you have probably noticed that I haven’t been replying to your emails quite a fast as usual this week. That’s because I’ve been busy painting and decorating the boys bathroom! (By the way, hopefully I have now replied to all emails.)
So, all that to say . . . it’s time to have you all play a little I Spy! I spy something Stampin’ Up! in the above picture. Can you find it? This is a hard one! The rest won’t be quite as hard.
Did you have trouble with the last picture? Try this one. There is a Stampin’ Up! item in this picture as well. Can you find it? (Sorry, the colors are terrible in this pictures, it’s impossible to get a good picture of those lights!)
Okay, hopefully you were able to figure out that last picture. Maybe it was still hard though. What about this one? Can you find the Stampin’ Up! item in this one?
How did you do out of the three pictures? I hope you’ll leave your score for us in a comment! I’ll go ahead and tell you the answers but make sure you leave a comment!
Do you see the monkey on the wall? He is one of our Decor Elements! Decor Elements are vinyl rub-ons for the wall! All you have to do is peel off the backing, place the sheet on the wall and rub. Simple as that! Seeing as we rent our house, I especially like the rub-ons becuase I can put them on the wall and someday when we move I can just peel off the monkey and go.
That same monkey is also in our Fox & Friends stamp set found on page 96 of the Idea Book & Catalog. Naturally, that monkey is lot smaller!
So, that’s the answer to the 3rd puzzle. The same exact monkey was on the mirror in the second picture. Did you find him there?
Now for the hard picture. Did you figure out the first one??
To be quite truthful, I probably wouldn’t have found it. I put an Old Olive monkey on the trash can! I probably should have put some trash in the can before taking the pictures, it’d make for a few less dots and easier to see!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this I Spy game and the tour of the new bathroom decor! For those of you who know me well, bright colors are not normally my thing but I had a lot of fun decorating this room! It all started when I found the shower curtain, rug, handtowels and dish towels (inside the white frames on the wall) on 75% Target Valentines Clearance. It all came together from there with new towels, shelves to replace the changing table, frames and ending with the trash can on clearance at Walmart yesterday.
Just in case you’re wondering where the monkey came in. The handtowels have a monkey on them holding a heart. That was enough to make me think of our Monkey Decor Element!
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you’ll leave a comment (with or without) your I Spy score!
Decorating Trays in the StampThat Classroom
Yesterday I shared this picture with you. These are some trays I bought recently at a big box store really close to my house. I really enjoy trying to look like I’m organized. Note, I did not say that I am, just that I try to look that way! Anyway, I liked these trays and they fit perfectly on a shelf I have in the StampThat! classroom. They sure are plain though aren’t they?
Let’s see what can be done about that . . .
Here we go! I used the Definitely Decorative Lattice Decor Elements in black on the trays! These elements only cost $4.95 each and they do so much to for these trays! So much fun! It took me about 10 minutes to do this – and really, it could have been done faster if I wasn’t trying so hard to get them straight (which they’re not). All I had to do was peel off the backing and rub these on – fast, easy and affordable!
Here’s a slightly larger view of the overall picture. You’ll just have to come and visit the StampThat! classroom to get the whole picture!
So, what do you think? Have the trays improved? Leave a quick comment and tell me what you think!
I look forward to PMS Night tonight. I hope you will plan to join us. You do not have to RSVP for this event, you’re welcome to just stop in to work on your projects, but if you have time, an RSVP is helpful so I can make sure we have enough pizza. We wouldn’t want to be short on that!
