Today seems like an appropriate day for some roses! I’ve spent quite a few hours over the last two days working on a project for my house, to be more specific, a project for in my bedroom. You see, on Wednesday I was the crazy person who went to Walmart to buy ModPodge, amidst the crowds of people there to buy toilet paper, bread and milk before the big storm . . . . (too bad I forgot the ModPodge when I was at Walmart on Tuesday amidst the early crowds of people there to buy toilet paper, bread and milk . . .)
Anyway, while I was there, I noticed they had some other items marked on clearance, items I’d been looking at and debating . . . . Well, I figured if they were on clearance I’d better get them before they sold out, right?! Yeah. Naturally that meant when I got home with them, that’s all I wanted to work on, instead of Scrap Club layouts and Tech Club prep (which was snowed out anyway!) So, I figured I’d get to work and get it done so later I could get to what I was supposed to be doing.
I pulled out my stash of retired Bravo Burgundy card stock (it’s a good thing I had a stock pile of it!) and got to work. Approximately 47 handmade roses later (that would be approximately 517 individual petals to punch and sponge and glue into roses) . . .
I have this beautiful topiary! It’s the perfect color and looks wonderful ! Do you like it? I hope so!
Thank you for coming by to visit today, Happy Valentines Day!
Beautiful, Becky, and very impressive! For how many nights have you dreamed about punched petals?! 🙂
That’s beautiful, Becky! What a neat idea! That’s a lot of rose petals…wow! 🙂
Becky,
That is lovely, very beautiful!
Man! For all that work you better never change bedroom colors. Yikes!
Speaking of roses, I got a some yellow ones from one of my sons. You did a beautiful job on the topiary that you so carefully put together. Great work Becky.
