Timed Stamping Color Challenge

Color challenge

It’s time for another timed color challenge!  I’m told I have 15 minutes to create something using these colors.  I do not have anything in River Rock so I am substituting in Crumb Cake instead.

Ready to go!

Okay, I have my ink pads ready and a variety of paper and I’m ready to go!

Sincere Salutations stamp set

Today is my husband’s birthday and I needed to complete this challenge and get his presents wrapped in a very short amount of time before he could walk in the door.  So. . . . I combined the two things!  I’m afraid I don’t have many pictures of my work in progress but here’s an idea.

While I was busy stamping, my four (almost 5) year old was busy doing some of his own stamping for Daddy’s birthday.

Stampin' Fun!

Here he is!  He’s stamping some lovely tissue paper using the Circle Circus stamp set and then he stamped a coordinating (sort of) gift bag to go with it.

Done!  How did I do on time?  Not too bad, it looks like it took me 16 minutes.  Oops! 1 minute over but I’m afraid it’s going to have to do, after all, there’s a birthday present to be wrapped!

Simple Birthday Thanks stamp set

Here we go.  I used the Sincere Salutations stamp set to stamp on a blank gift bag I picked up at a local dollar store.  I used the same stamp set on some tissue paper which you can see below the bag.   I love the tag, don’t you?  I used the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp set and hung it with some string around the handle.

Here he is!

I can’t forget to show you this proud little guy!  He was very excited about his package for Daddy!

So, what do you think?  I’d love to see your comments!  You can see what the other ladies created at the Stamp-A-Holics.

  1. Very festive bags, both of them! The cupcake tag is appropos, too. 🙂 I do like the way the tissue paper coordinates with the bag design – very cool. Happy birthday!

  2. Good save! What a neat idea! Love the bag.

  3. How sweet! My grandchildren always wanted to help make something, too, and they were so proud of it. Makes me take a step back and remove ANY stress I have when creating and enjoy it again…mistakes and all .

  4. These gift bags are terrific! I think one extra minute is perfectly fine since your stamper-in-training made a beautiful bag as well!

  5. I just love both bags. Congrats to both of you for the lovely items and the time. Great Job!

  6. Great bags and love the cupcake, it’s perfect. Looks like your little helper is pretty perfect too! Thanks for sharing.
