10 Minute Card Sketch Challenge for Christmas

Sketch to work from

This is the sketch I have to work with this week.  I’m supposed to make a card in 10 minutes working with this.

Let's stamp!

It’s time to stamp and I’m ready with an idea in mind!

Deck the Halls DSP

My first task was to run to the paper cutter with some Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler cardstock along with the Deck the Halls DSP.  It took me a couple tries to get the DSP cut correctly.  Silly me, in my rush I didn’t think it through clearly the first time to get the words cut right-side up.

Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon

Here’s the start of the card.  I love how the Very Vanilla satin ribbon looks, don’t you?

As I came to the next step I realized my gold embossing powder along with my heat tool were upstairs packed in bins ready to go to the Christmas Card class.  Yikes!  The only time I’ve run up stairs faster is when my children let out that hurt cry that any mother can recognize.

The Bells and Boughs stamp set along with the Come to Bethlehem stamp set, the modern label punch, gold brads and the Circle Scissor Plus finished out the card.

You know, I totally thought I was fine on time.  I had it in my mind that I started 5 minutes later than I actually did.  What I thought was exactly 10 minutes was really 15.    Oh well, I tried!  Do you want to see it?

Bells & Boughs stamp set

Here we are!  I love it!  The cold embossing, Deck the Halls DSP and Satin Ribbon are so elegant!
