Free As A Bird Coloring Card

Free As A Bird Coloring Card

It’s been a while since we’ve used the Free As a Bird stamp set in class so I decided to pull it out for the Coloring Class along with the Watercolor Pencils since we haven’t used those in a while either.

This stamp set has been around for a while now, and it’s a cute one.Continue reading

Snowflake Wishes & Blends Fun

Snowflake Wishes & Blends Fun

We’ve been playing with Blends markers and rubbing alcohol to make some fun backgrounds for a few cards lately in a couple of our more detailed card making classes.

For our coloring class we got to work on a fun background for a snowflake card.  Overall it’s a pretty simple card to make, it just takes some time for drying.Continue reading

Feels Like Home Sale-A-Bration Set

Feels Like Home Sale-A-Bration Set

Sale-A-Bration is coming to an end this week.  Boy, two months sure can fly by can’t they?  I feel like I haven’t had as much time to create with the SAB goodies as I would have liked.  Have you had a chance to get the free items you want?

The supply for two of the free options have been exhausted, the Be Dazzling glitter paper and the sheep dies, but as far as I understand it, the other items are still available at this time.

I thought I’d share a simple cared using the Feels Like Home stamp set which is available for free with a $50 purchase.Continue reading

Beauty of Friendship Stamp of the Month Card

Beauty of Friendship Stamp of the Month Card

We had a great time creating with the Beauty of Friendship stamp set last month in our Stamp of the Month class.  Someone commented in class that this is the new stamp set to replace Lovely as a Tree.  Do you remember that set?  I’m pretty sure Lovely as a Tree wins the prize for being available in the catalog for the most years.  I remember working hard at a certain goal to try to earn that stamp set for free in a special incentive during my early days as a demonstrator (and yes, I did get it for free).

In our Stamp of the Month classes my goal is to provide card ideas that exclusively use that particular stamp set.  Sometimes that’s easier than other times!  While creating with this set, I did start to wish it included a “Merry Christmas” sentiment.  There’s a great Christmas tree in there!

Here is one of the cards we made.  This is the card that I think would be a lovely Christmas card (In fact, I am probably going to change the sentiment on my card to say “Merry Christmas” – isn’t that the beauty of having all these stamps and supplies?!)Continue reading

A Joyful Christmas to You & Yours

A Joyful Christmas to You & Yours

The Coloring Class is always a fun one.  We purposefully get to slow down and take the time to color and use different methods of coloring.

I specifically wanted to make sure we pulled out the new assortment of Soft Pastels which are available in the Annual Catalog.  It’s really easy to miss these, or to look at them and yet not know what to do with them.

We matched the pastels up with the Christmas Season stamp set and the Merriest Moments stamp set to create this lovely card.Continue reading
